Body Balance is pleased to be able to offer classes in Taijiquan (T’ai
Chi) and Qigong under the instruction of Rose Peterson.

Taijiquan and Qigong are ancient forms of body movement performed
for their health benefits and martial applications.  They are slow moving
controlled exercises with emphasis on correct body alignment,
awareness and breathing.

Taijiquan and Qigong reduce stress while improving well being, body
tone and strength.

There are no age or physical ability requirements.  All can benefit.
No special clothing or equipment is required and you can practice in
your own home.

Rose has been involved in Taijiquan and Qigong for over 20 years.  Her
initial studies were with Prof. Tswi-yu (Mildred) of Beijing, China.  She
has studied both Yang and Chen style Taijiquan and a Yang sword
form.  She also expanded her Chen style in sword and Push Hands
with Master Guang Ye Ren in New York City, and studied with Master
Wei Lun Huang of Miami, Florida.  She has completed a course in
Chinese Fan Boxing with Dianne Hoxmeier in Woods Hole, MA. Rose
has also studied I-Liq Chaun, a Malaysian Martial Art with Master Sam
Chin.  Her current teacher of Yang Form and Push Hands is Gil Malave
of Somerset Co., NJ.

Rose’s mastery of these ancient art forms are evident with her many
accomplishments in the competitive arena both as a participant and as
a Certified Judging Official.

Rose will be serving as a Judging Official for the 2006
International
Kuoshu Championship Tournament being held July 21-23.

Please check the
schedule for class information.
